Use of the OEM transmission in EV trucks and buses enables local maintenance to take advantage of trillions of dollars and person hours of work that have been expended to increase the efficiency of vehicular mobility. The transmission trails only the combustion engine when calculating the cumulative investment in automobiles since 1900.

Due to the heavier loads, there are considerable advantages to using the OEM transmission in battery-electric trucks and buses that are not as apparent in battery-electric passenger vehicles. 

Using most of the OEM parts allows easy training, use of  local parts stores and most of all using locally trained and certified technicians.
